The Main Street Grill was created especially for the people that live in Windsor and northern Colorado, but we are just as delighted to serve visitors to this beautiful area of Colorado.
Windsor's Main Street Grill is locally owned and operated by Windsor resident, Doug DeMercurio (the "Running Chef"), his wife Connie, along with a friendly dedicated staff led by chef / general manager Zac Worman.
Having entered the restaurant business in 1968, Doug moved his family to Fort Collins in 1982, and to Windsor in 1999. Doug has been involved in developing numerous restaurant concepts in California, Oregon, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado, including the two restaurants they currently operate - Tortilla Marissa's in Fort Collins and Windsor's Main Street Grill.
The Main Street Grill has a comfortable casual atmosphere and a welcoming, friendly staff that will help you relax and feel right at home.
The menu includes burgers and sandwiches, salads and pasta, steaks, prime rib, and chicken...all of your favorites, including local German sausage made by the third generation Yauk family. You'll love the varied selection of appetizers. And the desserts are not to be missed, especially their signature sizzling caramel apple bread pudding and Doug's award winning seasonal cheesecakes.
The Main Street Grill was recognized by the Best Independent Restaurants of America with the coveted Platinum Plate Award since 2006 in the Casual American Grill category. In local voting, the Main Street Grill has received recognition for serving the Best Dinner, the Best Steak and Best Dessert in Windsor regularly since 2005. In addition, Windsor's Main Street Grill was voted Best Steakhouse in Fort Collins in 2008 (and they're not even in Fort Collins)
Some of Doug's awards include the Copper Spoon Award for best booth in the 2005 Taste of the Nation event in Fort Collins, the Best Dessert Award at the 2005 Cookie Caper Competition for his "Thin Mint Grasshopper Cheesecake", the Best Vegetarian entree category in the Best Independent Chefs of America event in 2007, and the Colorado Beverage Analyst and Southern Wine & Spirits October 2007 Chef of the Month award.
No matter what you order at "the Grill", you are sure to enjoy it, and .......it's always served with a smile!
